Even though I was already familiar with most of the things from Web 2.0, I learned a lot of new and exciting details. My favorite exercise was about widgets and gadgets. There were so many interesting widgets that I had hard time choosing one.
Thanks Cindy for this training. I definitely had good time :)

Web 2.0
For people like me, who are far from their relatives and friends, Web 2.0 makes the live much easier. With all the connection tools like instant messaging, sharing pictures, and videocasting, I can see my friends and parents almost every day. Of course it's not just seeing your friends, but learning and sharing information. There is so much to learn out there and Web 2.0 is definitely a good way to do that.
Week 8 - Social Networking
I used to be one of those people staying until late in the night doing social networking, but I think I am getting old. Not that only young people use social networking, but when you have kids it's hard to find time for that. There was a site I used to check very often for classmates from the high school and the university I attended. It was very nice to see old friends who I wouldn't recognize if I see on the street.

Week 7 - Widgets & Gadgets
Wow! This was a fun week. To be honest, I've never used widgets before. I found this really cool translator that I added to my blog. You can try it. It can translate almost every language. It can even pronounce the sentence if you want to hear it - not in Bulgarian though. But if you insist on hearing it in Bulgarian, I can say it for you :) You can try in Russian, Spanish, German, even Japanese. The widget seems little bit bigger and you can only see the "t" from the translate button on the right hand side by the language in which you want translation - it works.

Week 6 - Tags, Folksonomy and Social Bookmarking
Now I realize how useful bookmarking can be. My “Favorites” list was growing so fast and I had to add it on every computer I use. Now I will only add my delicious account :)
I was confused with the .exe file that I had to run, but then I saw the notes at the end of the post that ComIt locked down the Internet tool. After that everything was very easy.

Week 5 - Multimedia
This week's activities were very interesting and useful. I've been using photosharing for a long time. I used to have an account in Photobucket, but no longer use it. Instead we created an account in Yahoo and that's how we share pictures with our parents and friends.
I've never done podcasting. My daughter's school has morning podcast and it's a very good way to keep up with what's going on for the day.

Week 4 - Instant Messaging
The first IM application that I used was the good, old ICQ. But that was about 10 years ago. Now I use Skype and that is the best way to communicate with my parents and friends who are still in Bulgaria. Skype also allows video conference. This Skype feature is really cool because it allows conversation in real time between users. I just love it.
